As part of the boat cruise you will also be able to enjoy the magnificent views of the shoreline. We will also make a close approach to a crystal rock – an isolated rock formation in the ocean.

Your boat will then drop you on the island of Benitiers where you can enjoy the relatively calm lagoon and the long stretch of sand beach. If you are into snorkeling, this is the place to be. The island is also home to several protected birds and marine species. Also included in your package is a free BBQ lunch with unlimited drinks.

Itinerary of your full day cruise on the west coast of Mauritius

Speedboat trip
Your day will start by embarking on a speedboat at 08:00 and you will start the search for the wild dolphins. The speedboat can accommodate up to eighteen persons.
Swim with dolphins
The dolphins come for feeding in the morning into the south west bay of Mauritius. This becomes an ideal opportunity to observe these wonderful creatures in their natural habitat and also get closer to them by swimming with them. There are two types of dolphins that visit the bay, namely the spinner and the bottlenose dolphins. They are usually found in groups of 5-20 dolphins at once.
Snorkeling
During the snorkelling activity, you will be able to explore the underwater world. The guide will give you a few tips so that you can enjoy your experience in the crystal clear water near the coral reef. Snorkelling gear will be provided to you if you don't have those. Swimming jackets are available if required (if you find it hard to swim). You may also request the assistance of the skipper to help you swim.
Visit and swim at the Crystal Rock
The crystal rock is a natural formation which has raised above the ocean's surface near Le Morne. You can swim near the crystal rock taking beautiful pictures
Lunch at Benitiers Island
You will be served a delicious lunch: BBQ on the Benitiers Island. The lunch will consist of fish, chicken, sausage, pasta and salad. Alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks will be provided as per your choice. You can explore the island, walk along the beach, enjoy the warm sunlight and relax. At about 14:00 in the afternoon, you'll head back to the shore from Benitiers Island

We tried this trip on the recommendation of a friend and loved it. The dolphins were at large in the ocean and not in pen cages. Amazing how fast they swim. We could not catch up with them but a very nice experience
