This is a full day cruise  starting at Grand Bay in the north of Mauritius towards Gabriel Island, located near Round Island and Flat island, at the extreme north of Mauritius.

First of all, just after you have embarked on the catamaran, there will be a briefing about the cruise, where you’ll be heading exactly and the travel time. Next we’ll head to Gabriel island from Grand Bay and coast throughout the beautiful blue lagoon. As the catamaran will get outside the coral reefs, soon at a very far distance you’ll spot some other islands as well.

We’ll pass by Coin de Mire island, a marvelous place where you’ll admire nature at its best and see the waves crashing again some parts of the island. Arriving nearer to our destination, you’ll then see flat island and round island also. At Gabriel island, a natural reserve, you’ll enjoy some snorkeling and swimming in the turquoise water, tanning on the white sandy beach and also discover endemic birds.

After that, you’ll head back to the catamaran where you’ll have a delicious barbecue lunch with typical mauritian rice, salads, chicken BBQ, fish BBQ, hot dogs and macaroni. Not to forget as you are eating, an artist will play some guitar and sing a few songs.  A very unique experience as you’ll be enjoying your meal. All along the trip, you’ll also enjoy listening to various music.

After lunch, we’ll head back to Grand Bay with snorkeling stop at Coin de Mire island where you will enjoy the clear sea water with unimaginable views of small fishes and if you’re lucky, spot sea tortoises.. You’ll also spot lots of endemic birds flying nearby.

You must definitely take this Catamaran cruise to Gabriel island, you must experience it to believe! First time in Mauritius and I enjoyed the day. Had some fun while snorkeling in this beautiful lagoon, saw some colourful fish also. Meal was great with a barbecue chicken. You can also order fish if you want. The crew will try to satisfy your demand as they can! They listened to our queries all the time and looked to be available readily! The island is a gem, a nice spot for relaxing and tanning on the white sandy beach! Don’t miss this when you come here in this country!
