Had a great day visiting the south west of Mauritius. The driver was very friendly and had great communication skills. Very informative from his part as he explained about all the sites that I was going to visit. I tasted local rums at Rhumerie de Chamarel and saw famous seven coloured earths. Had a walk at Trou Aux Cerfs, went to Alexandra Waterfalls and Black River gorges viewpoints, magnificent views at these places! Highly recommended!

It’s my first time writing a review, so I’ll try to put as much details as I can. I started in the morning, our driver was already waiting for us for the south west tour. Our first stop was at Trou Aux Cerfs, we had an amazing view of the surroundings there, we had some fun taking some nice photographs. After that, we went to see the large reservoir of Mare aux Vacoas, we drove through the forests and we saw wild monkeys at certain sports nearby the road. At Grand bassin, we learnt a bit about the sacred temple, it’s lake and about pilgrimage which takes place every year. We were stunned when we got to see the Alexandra waterfalls and Black River gorges viewpoints. What a view we had, we saw the natural forests and the coast also. Then, we went to the Chamarel Seven Coloured earths, it was a spectacular site with different colours. At last, we visited the rhumerie, we learnt about the production of rum and had some samples for tasting. It was a great trip, we enjoyed our day. I highly recommend the south west tour when you visit Mauritius.
